Summary
This study looked at what causes compassion fatigue—emotional exhaustion and reduced empathy—in midwives. Researchers surveyed 209 midwives in China to identify key risk factors and built a simple prediction tool. The goal is to help hospitals spot midwives who may be struggling early, so they can get support before burnout leads to errors or leaving the job.
