First seen May 07, 2026 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 4 times

Summary

This study tested whether giving a pill called midodrine can help critically ill patients stop receiving intravenous norepinephrine (a blood pressure medication) sooner. The study included 112 patients who were stable but still needed low doses of norepinephrine. The goal was to see if midodrine could speed up the weaning process and reduce the time spent on IV support.
