First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 33 times
Summary
This study tested a microwave ablation system to destroy lung tumors in 13 adults with non-small cell lung cancer or tumors that spread from other cancers. Participants received a minimally invasive procedure where a needle delivers heat to kill cancer cells. The study was stopped early, so results are limited, but it aimed to see if the treatment safely and completely covers the tumor.
