First seen Jun 25, 2026 · Last updated Jun 26, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study tested a mobile health program for 100 sedentary office workers. Participants used a web app with daily goals and feedback, plus a wrist activity tracker, to improve diet, physical activity, and reduce sitting. The goal was to see if this approach is effective and cost-efficient for healthier habits at work.

- What this could lead to
- If successful, this could lead to a cost-effective way to help desk workers eat better, move more, and sit less, potentially reducing chronic disease risk.
- What could go wrong
- This is a small, early-stage study with only 100 participants. Results may not apply to all workers, and long-term benefits are uncertain.
