First seen Sep 30, 2025 · Last updated May 10, 2026 · Updated 23 times
Summary
This study looked at whether methylphenidate (a common ADHD medication) lowers brain inflammation in children aged 6-11 with ADHD. Researchers measured three inflammation-related substances in the blood of 42 children before and after 3 months of treatment. The goal was to understand how the drug affects the brain's immune activity, not to test a new treatment.
