Scientists track arthritis drug to catch missed doses
NCT ID NCT03852888
Summary
This study aimed to better understand how patients with rheumatoid arthritis process their key medication, methotrexate. Researchers tracked the drug and its byproduct in the urine of 62 patients who were taking their weekly dose correctly. The goal was to establish a normal pattern to later help doctors identify patients who might be missing their medication.
