NCT ID NCT05680805
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 26 times
Summary
This study looks at whether certain gene variations affect how well the drug metformin works in women with Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS). About 100 women aged 18-35 with PCOS will take metformin for 24 weeks, and researchers will measure changes in blood sugar, insulin, cholesterol, and weight. The goal is to see if genetic differences can predict who benefits most from metformin, which could lead to more personalized treatment.
