Summary
This study tested whether adding the diabetes drug metformin to standard chemotherapy helps people with advanced ovarian, fallopian tube, or primary peritoneal cancer. About 111 participants received either metformin or a placebo alongside chemo, then continued metformin as maintenance. The goal was to see if metformin could slow cancer growth or improve treatment response.
