Summary
This study looked at whether metformin, a common diabetes drug, can affect signs of aging in people with prediabetes. Researchers measured telomere length and activity of longevity-related genes in 112 North Indian adults before and after six months of metformin or placebo. The goal was to understand if metformin might slow aging at a cellular level.
