Metabolic syndrome may slow shoulder injury recovery, new study suggests
NCT ID NCT06946472
First seen Jan 05, 2026 · Last updated May 25, 2026 · Updated 27 times
Summary
This study looks at how metabolic syndrome (a cluster of conditions like high blood pressure and diabetes) affects recovery from rotator cuff injuries. About 40 adults with shoulder tears will receive the same 4-week physical therapy program. Researchers will compare pain, strength, and shoulder function between those with and without metabolic syndrome to see if it slows healing.
