New combo attack on deadly lung cancer

NCT ID NCT04897022

Summary

This early-stage study is testing whether combining a new form of targeted chest radiation with an immunotherapy drug is safe for people with advanced malignant pleural mesothelioma, a serious cancer often linked to asbestos. The main goal is to find the highest radiation dose that causes few or manageable side effects when given with the drug pembrolizumab. If a safe dose is found, future participants will help test if this combination might help control the cancer.
