Summary
This study looked at whether placing a mesh in the belly wall during surgery can prevent incisional hernias (a bulge where the cut was made). 110 adults at higher risk for hernia (due to age, weight, or health issues) were followed for up to two years. The main goal was to see if the mesh reduced the number of hernias that formed.
