AR menus tested to boost healthy eating in hispanic eateries

NCT ID NCT07329452

First seen Jan 09, 2026 · Last updated Jun 08, 2026 · Updated 22 times

Summary

This study looks at whether showing nutrition information on menus—especially through a digital app with augmented reality—helps customers choose healthier meals. About 240 adults dining at two Hispanic restaurants in Texas will try three menu types: a standard menu, a paper menu with labels, and an app with interactive guidance. Researchers will survey participants and check their receipts to see if the labels change what they order.
