Hormone-Diabetes combo could boost blood sugar control in menopause
NCT ID NCT06715514
First seen Jun 13, 2026 · Last updated Jun 19, 2026 · Updated 2 times
Summary
This study looks at whether adding menopausal hormone therapy (MHT) to a GLP-1 receptor agonist (a type of diabetes drug) helps control blood sugar and weight better than the diabetes drug alone. It involves 96 early postmenopausal women who have or are at risk for type 2 diabetes. Participants will receive either the combination therapy or the diabetes drug alone, and researchers will measure changes in blood sugar levels over time.
