Knee repair showdown: bone marrow stimulation vs. platelet injections

NCT ID NCT04775004

Summary

This study aims to find out which of two common add-on treatments works better to help a torn knee meniscus heal after surgical repair. Researchers are comparing a bone marrow stimulation technique with injections of platelet-rich plasma (PRP, a patient's own concentrated healing factors). The goal is to see which method leads to fewer re-tears and better knee function in patients aged 16 and older.
