Sleep hormone tested to save Newborns' brains

Summary
This study is testing whether adding the hormone melatonin to standard supportive care helps newborns with brain injury caused by lack of oxygen during birth. Researchers will compare survival rates and brain injury improvement in two groups of 110 full-term babies: one group gets a single dose of melatonin plus standard care, and the other gets standard care alone. The goal is to see if melatonin helps more babies survive and recover better from this serious condition.
