First seen Mar 28, 2026 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 13 times
Summary
This study tested a new cream for melasma, a skin condition causing dark patches on the face. The new cream replaces a harsh ingredient (hydroquinone) with a gentler one (thiamidol). 40 adults with melasma were treated and monitored for skin improvement and quality of life. The goal was to see if the new cream works as well with fewer side effects.
