NCT ID NCT07477808

First seen Mar 19, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 6 times

Summary

This study tests whether adding megestrol acetate (a drug that stimulates appetite) to standard first-line therapy helps malnourished non-small cell lung cancer patients gain weight. About 116 adults with advanced lung cancer will be randomly assigned to receive either standard treatment plus megestrol or standard treatment alone. The main goal is to see if the combination leads to better weight gain.
