Summary
This study examines whether visits from specially trained medical dogs can help reduce fear and anxiety in children staying at the hospital. Researchers will compare dog visits with other calming activities like coloring to see which helps children cope better. The study involves 126 children ages 8-17 who will complete surveys and have their heart rate monitored during different activities.
