New ointment shows promise for diabetic foot wounds

Summary

This study tested whether a special ointment called MEBO can help heal diabetic foot ulcers better than standard treatment. About 75 adults with diabetes and foot sores that had lasted at least 4 weeks took part. Researchers measured how many ulcers fully healed and how long it took.
