Summary

This study aims to develop a simple, non-invasive method to measure the acidity (pH) of the airways using exhaled breath. Currently, measuring airway pH requires a bronchoscopy, which is invasive and expensive. Researchers will test if exhaled nitric oxide levels can accurately estimate airway pH in 150 people, including both healthy volunteers and those with lung diseases. The goal is to make pH monitoring easier for managing conditions like asthma and COPD.
