First seen Jan 07, 2026 · Last updated May 01, 2026 · Updated 16 times
Summary
This study tests whether a daily supplement made from mealworm flour can improve the health of 40 children aged 2-10 with chronic malnutrition in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Researchers will compare the mealworm flour group to a group receiving a traditional maize-soy flour supplement. The goal is to see if the mealworm flour improves growth and nutrient levels better than the standard supplement.
