NCT ID NCT04937361
First seen May 07, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 5 times
Summary
This study monitored the spread of multidrug-resistant organisms (MDROs) in a university hospital network. Over 14,000 adult inpatients provided rectal swabs to detect resistant bacteria. Researchers also analyzed bloodstream infections and genetic data to understand how resistance emerges and spreads. The goal was to improve infection control, not to test a new treatment.
