First seen Jan 07, 2026 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 16 times
Summary
This study looks for natural toxins called mycotoxins in breastmilk. These toxins come from mold that can grow on grains, nuts, and dry foods. Researchers want to see if these toxins are present and if they affect a baby's growth and development in the first months of life. About 150 pregnant women and new mothers will provide milk samples and answer food questionnaires.
