First seen May 08, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 2 times
Summary
This study compares two hands-on treatments—deep friction massage and instrument-assisted massage—for people with plantar fasciitis, a common cause of heel pain. About 52 adults with moderate pain will receive one of the two techniques over 8 weeks. Researchers will measure changes in pain, foot function, and walking ability to see which approach works better.
