First seen Apr 29, 2026 · Last updated Jun 14, 2026 · Updated 7 times

Summary

This study looked at how common Metabolic Dysfunction-Associated Steatotic Liver Disease (MASLD) is among 459 adults in Turkey who are at risk due to being overweight, having diabetes, or other metabolic issues. Researchers used a special ultrasound to measure liver fat and stiffness, and collected information on diet, activity, and blood markers. The goal was to find undiagnosed cases and understand what factors are linked to the disease.
