This pilot study tested a maskless immobilization device for 12 adults with head and neck cancer or brain tumors undergoing radiation therapy. The device aims to prevent movement during treatment with the same accuracy as standard thermoplastic masks, which can be uncomfortable. Researchers measured setup accuracy by comparing daily shifts to planning scans.
