New study reveals best way to mask ugly tooth spots in kids

NCT ID NCT07494682

First seen Apr 15, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 4 times

Summary

This study tested two simple, non-drilling treatments to cover up white or brown stains on children's front teeth caused by a condition called Molar-Incisor Hypomineralization (MIH). Sixty-four children aged 8 to 10 received either a resin filler or a bleach-seal method. Researchers then asked the children and their parents how they felt about the look of their teeth before and three months after treatment.
