Hidden danger: study tests best way to tame silent blood pressure
NCT ID NCT02804074
Summary
This study aims to find the best way to manage 'masked hypertension,' a condition where blood pressure is normal at the doctor's office but high elsewhere. It will compare two strategies: adjusting medication based on standard office readings versus using a 24-hour monitor worn at home. The goal is to see which method better protects the heart and kidneys over four years in 1,240 participants.
