NCT ID NCT05441488
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 33 times
Summary
This phase 3 study tested whether the oral drug masitinib could slow disability worsening in people with progressive multiple sclerosis (MS) who are no longer having relapses. About 800 adults with primary or secondary progressive MS were randomly assigned to receive masitinib or a placebo for 96 weeks. The main goal was to see if masitinib delays confirmed disability progression. The trial was suspended, so results are not yet available.
