Summary

This study aims to understand why some adolescents and young adults feel tired for months after an Epstein-Barr virus infection (mono). Researchers will follow 150 infected individuals and 150 healthy controls for six months, using brain scans, immune tests, and behavioral experiments. No treatments are tested; the goal is to learn how the brain, immune system, and nervous system interact to cause persistent fatigue.
