First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 28 times
Summary
This study looked at whether manual therapy (hands-on techniques) can help people with temporomandibular disorders (TMD) — a condition causing jaw pain and limited movement. 48 adults with TMD received either manual therapy or therapeutic exercises. Researchers measured muscle thickness, pain sensitivity, and jaw function. The goal was to see which approach better reduces pain and improves daily life.
