First seen Nov 18, 2025 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 23 times
Summary
This study looked at whether adding Functional Magnetic Stimulation (FMS) to manual therapy (gentle nerve stretching) can better reduce pain and improve movement in people with sciatica caused by a herniated disc. Forty adults were split into two groups: one got manual therapy plus FMS, the other got manual therapy alone. Both groups completed a three-week program, and researchers measured pain, disability, and leg raise range at the start and end.
