First seen Nov 18, 2025 · Last updated Jun 20, 2026 · Updated 27 times
Summary
This study tests whether certain medications can help calm agitated delirium in cancer patients in the hospital. Delirium causes confusion, restlessness, and distress. The trial compares three drugs (haloperidol, chlorpromazine, and valproic acid) against a placebo, all given through an IV. The goal is to find the best way to reduce suffering from delirium in this vulnerable group.
