First seen Feb 11, 2026 · Last updated May 25, 2026 · Updated 19 times

Summary

This study looked at whether a hormone gel (Nestorone + testosterone) applied to men's shoulders could transfer to women through skin contact. 26 healthy men and women took part. Researchers tested three scenarios: direct skin contact, contact after the man wore a shirt, and contact after the man washed the application area. The goal was to see if washing or clothing reduces hormone transfer to women.
