First seen Jan 31, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 19 times

Summary

This study tests an experimental vaccine called PvCS/Montanide ISA-51 to see if it can safely prevent malaria caused by the P. vivax parasite. 72 healthy adults aged 18-50 will receive three shots of the vaccine or a placebo, then be exposed to infected mosquitoes under medical supervision. Researchers will monitor who gets infected and measure immune responses to determine if the vaccine works.
