Summary
This study tested a combination of two anti-malarial drugs, cipargamin and KLU156, in 60 people aged 12 and older with uncomplicated Plasmodium falciparum malaria. The main goal was to see if the treatment could clear the malaria parasite from the blood by day 29 without the infection coming back. Participants had to have a fever and a certain level of parasites in their blood to join. The study is now complete.
