New combo therapy aims to keep lung cancer at bay longer

Summary
This study tests a maintenance therapy for people with extensive small cell lung cancer that has responded to initial treatment. The combination includes a liposomal form of irinotecan, platinum chemotherapy, an immune checkpoint inhibitor, and anlotinib. The goal is to see if this approach can delay cancer progression and improve survival. About 31 adults will participate.
