First seen Jan 06, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 20 times

Summary

This study tests a new magnetic surgical system designed to reduce the number of cuts (ports) needed during laparoscopic stomach and upper gut surgery. About 30 adults scheduled for such procedures will take part. The main goal is to see if the system is safe and can replace a typical port used for holding organs out of the way.
