Magnetic pulses may ease shoulder pain after stroke

NCT ID NCT06678425

First seen Apr 21, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 8 times

Summary

This study tested whether a non-invasive magnetic treatment (rPMS) can reduce shoulder displacement and improve arm movement in people who recently had a stroke. Twenty participants received either real or fake magnetic pulses for 20 minutes a day, five days a week, for two weeks, along with standard rehab. Researchers measured changes in shoulder position and arm function over 12 weeks to see if the real treatment worked better.
