Magnets to the mind: a new hope for veterans haunted by trauma?
NCT ID NCT04207346
Summary
This study tested whether a non-invasive brain stimulation technique, using a powerful magnet, could help veterans with PTSD. It compared the real magnetic treatment to a fake 'sham' treatment in 59 veterans to see if it improved their PTSD symptoms, depression, and ability to function in daily life. The goal was to find a new option for veterans who don't get enough relief from standard talk therapy or medications.
