Dental device aims to stop sleep apnea Sufferers' midnight bathroom runs
NCT ID NCT05562388
Summary
This study is testing if a custom dental mouthpiece, called a Mandibular Advancement Device (MAD), can help reduce the need to wake up to urinate at night in people with obstructive sleep apnea. Researchers will fit 36 adult participants with the device and track their nighttime bathroom trips using daily diaries. The goal is to see if using the mouthpiece to improve breathing during sleep also leads to fewer nighttime awakenings to use the bathroom.
