Blood test and AI could revolutionize colon cancer treatment planning

NCT ID NCT07255729

First seen Jan 04, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 18 times

Summary

This study aims to develop a machine learning tool that analyzes tiny particles called exosomes in the blood to better determine how aggressive a person's colon cancer is before surgery. By combining this molecular information with standard clinical assessments, doctors hope to more accurately identify high-risk patients who would benefit from chemotherapy before their operation. The study will enroll 400 participants with colon cancer and use their blood samples to build and validate the predictive model.
