New brain aneurysm device tested in tiny early study
NCT ID NCT07259018
First seen Jan 04, 2026 · Last updated Jun 23, 2026 · Updated 25 times
Summary
This early study tests a new device called the LuSeed Aneurysm Embolization System in 10 people with unruptured brain aneurysms. The device is inserted through a blood vessel to block the aneurysm and prevent it from bursting. The goal is to see if the procedure is safe and technically possible, not yet to prove it works.

What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
LuSeed Aneurysm Embolization System (a device implanted via catheter to block blood flow to the aneurysm)
What this could lead to
If successful, this device could offer a new, less invasive treatment option for people with unruptured brain aneurysms.
What could go wrong
This is a very early feasibility study with only 10 people, so it is too small to prove the device works. Risks include stroke, device failure, or death.
Conditions
