Summary

This study looks at how often small areas of the lung collapse (atelectasis) during surgery under general anesthesia. Researchers will use a safe, radiation-free ultrasound to check the lungs of 80 adults having elective surgery either on their back or stomach. The goal is to see if one position leads to less lung collapse, helping doctors choose better positions for future surgeries.
