Summary
This study looked at 70 adults having surgery to see if a personalized breathing machine setting (lowest driving pressure) works better than standard protective settings to prevent small lung collapses after the operation. Researchers used lung ultrasound to check for collapse right after surgery. The goal was to find out which method keeps lungs healthier and might lead to shorter hospital stays.
