New clues to spot lung transplant trouble early
NCT ID NCT07525440
First seen Apr 15, 2026 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study looked at 80 people who had a lung transplant to see if two simple tests could warn doctors early when a patient's health starts to get worse. The tests measured breathing effort (neural respiratory drive) and a heart-related protein (Pro-BNP) in the blood. The goal was to find a way to catch problems like infection or rejection sooner, so treatment can start faster and possibly help people live longer.
