Doctors test how long 'Lung Reopening' lasts during surgery

NCT ID NCT07161466

Summary

This study looked at different pressure settings on breathing machines used during surgery. Researchers wanted to see how long the benefits of a special 'lung reopening' technique last and how different pressure levels affect patients' blood circulation. The study involved 101 adults having planned colorectal cancer surgery to help doctors understand how often to use these techniques during operations.
