New biomarker model aims to cut unnecessary lung procedures

Summary

This study is testing a new way to predict whether a suspicious spot on the lung (called a pulmonary nodule) is cancer or not. Researchers will combine a blood test and a special CT scan analysis to see if it can help doctors make better decisions. About 100 adults with medium-risk nodules will take part. The goal is to reduce unnecessary invasive procedures and speed up diagnosis for those with cancer.
