New lung technique may help sleep apnea patients breathe easier after surgery

Summary

This study looks at whether a special lung-opening procedure, guided by ultrasound, can prevent lung problems after a hysterectomy in patients with obstructive sleep apnea. About 90 adults with sleep apnea who are having a total laparoscopic hysterectomy will take part. The approach aims to improve lung function during and after surgery.
